I know I’ve been silent lately, and it’s certainly not for lack of thinking about how we can respond to the challenges of climate change, resource depletion and global in equity, but life has just been too hectic recently to make much sense of anything, much less to write coherently about these things. I don’t want to bore you with details, but gardening and family problems have consumed all of my time and energy, along with a minor health problem of my own. We’ve also had a number of gigs with our band, The Roan Mountain Moonshiners. We play gen-u-wine East Tennessee style old-time string band music and have big fun when we play together. Making music is a great way to chase ‘what ails ‘ya’ away, and a wonderful way to build community as well. May the video put a smile on your face and a tap in your toe and hopefully I’ll be able to resume ‘my regularly scheduled programming’ next week! Enjoy your weekend!
